Fast...I've got a subscript to GMHi-perf.tech & most of the serious cars in it usually replace the rear w/a stronger one if putting serious power to the ground w/sticky tires. The 10 bolt/8.5" from late 60's to mid 80's can take more abuse than the late 80's & up 7.5"ers can from what I've seen @ the local 1/8 mile track. I guess it depends on the set-up/combination.
