Yours is the first one I have seen coming out of a big truck. There is hope! The air pressure gauge is mainly for the air brake system in the truck. Air pressure actuates the trailer brakes. If the truck has spring-powered emergency/parking brakes on it or is hauling a trailer w/spring emergency/parking brakes on it then the driver would want to know if he is loosing air pressure. When the air pressure gets below around 60psi the brakes set. Not a good thing if you are trucking down the road. That is what I would be using the gauge for.
