Re: 4 Speedwarning Gauge Clusters & NOS Parts
I took the 2 untested ones apart and the 1 on top left the needle turns, cable is good, all gears have all teeth, and correct wire is present inside with good insulation on it and ends, metal stud on back has insulator rings present under it on inside and outside.
1 on bottom right the cable where it enters crimped end at dash is split so if you turn knob cable sits still as knob rotates if you grasp cable it does rotate the pointer ( could use JB Weld or similar inserted in crimped in then press cable back in and crimp it tight till the jb weld sets at that would probably fix this but new repro car ones are available for around $30-$35 on ebay that could be swapped in ) the inside on this one again all gears have all teeth, the wire is present and has the correct connector end on it but the wire insulation is worn off about 1/2 of it and the other half is thin, stud is on back in good condition with insulator rings present under it. So some love on the cable & wire are needed on that one the other gauges are in fair to good condition in both clusters. I've looked for the idiot light one and can't find it so I can not include it. I do have a extra 69-72 gauge cluster in good condition and a temp & amp gauge with their backing plate you can have also with the speedwarnings if you want as I'm trying to clear out all my extras I really don't need.
