Ken, you've never seen my '67 in person have you? Here's the latest pic to give you an idea of what I did. I used a tight carpet and it's held in place with Liquid Nail. I did the same thing to my old '65 and after 10 yrs, it was still holding. It sure makes the cab alot quieter.
