leave the key turned on... well not in the on position, but one click foward so that the steering wheel can still be turned. This is so the car can turn without puting a strain on any of the steering components.
Leave extra room to stop, because you have this extra weight pushing you foward, but no weight is being pushed down on your tow vehicle, so that kinda sucks IMO.
