Re: What hubcaps/wheel covers would have been original?
Check your SPID, glove box decal, if ordered new with optional chrome hubcaps or full wheel covers. If nothing is listed, your truck came with the standard base model painted hubcaps as shown on this '72 owned by joesjunk. They were all white, with black trim and blue bowtie. The indentical painted hubcap was used up until 1978 ( but bowtie painted gold 73-78). Starting in 1979, all hubcaps were made from light weight aluminum for fuel efficiency.
