yes, i'm running newer style valve covers. one side with a breather, the other i set up like my 69 nova - with a PCV that goes in the breather hole. i decided on that after searching on and reading some of the older threads that had some pics. the intake manifold is an edelbrock performer plus so no oil filler tube up front.

i should be able to look and measure tomorrow. as i perused the internet, should i grab brass or steel? i would think brass would be easier to install.... i appreciate the multitude of responses - thanks!

I'd go with brass.
