My Longhorn went missing

This board is so valuable in so many ways.

My 71 big block C2500 had the symptoms of vapor locking. It missed under load, seemed to run out of fuel when extremely hot outside and under load. I had changed the fuel filters twice, moved the fuel line around to make sure it wasn't touching anything, new tank and sending unit, new rubber hoses, new fuel pump, all to no avail.

I'm sorry I don't know who to give credit to, but I saw a post on here about the positive wire to the HEI partially missing or damaged causing similar symptoms to mine. I checked mine and sure enough, someone had just twisted the wire together and taped it. I stripped the wire clean, soldered it together, put the shrink wrap on and problem fixed.

So simple I keep expecting the symptoms to return.

The ability to speak several languages is an asset, but the ability to keep your mouth shut in any language is priceless.
