Re: Windshield washer not staying primed
The original pump in my '71 didn't work when I got it so I installed an electric pump under the dash, and it still looses its prime. After the truck has sat for a while and I turn it on it takes at least 5 seconds for the pump to prime the whole system. So with an electric pump it still looses its prime but you don't have to manually prime it because the electric pump is strong enough to do that.
