Re: Closed Knuckle Steering Question.
It appears the originals were 3/8 by 1 11/16 long. I had the steering arm and knuckle machined to accept a 1/2 stud. They also enlarged the steering arm and cone washer (?) to go with the 1/2 studs. That was a K10.
I also checked my K20 suburban, it also has a closed knuckle 44 and it has 1/2 studs. I have 2 of the 3/8 cone washers (?). Lord only knows why I save everything........ The picture is of an original stud. Again why I saved it, who knows........
