Need WAY more info.
Do you have HEI (my first guess is a dead ignition control module).
Are you getting fuel?
Are you getting spark?
Does it turn over?
Is it making noises when turning over?
Does it sound different when turning over than it used to (like sounds like it's spinning faster - broken timing chain.)
No, a wire off the choke shouldn't cause it unless it shorted something out.
