You still likely have the differential from a 67. The simply used the axles from a 72. Finding a used 12 bolt with 3.73 gears and 5 lug axles isn't going to be easy. The easiest thing would be to simply get a set of axles the correct length 5 lug. Swapping the axles is simple and you can change the seals and bearings at the same time. Most of the trucks in that era had a 3.07 gear. inline 6 trucks generally got the 3.73 and v8 had 3.07. Not sure about stuff with factory 283 though. New axles should be 120 a piece or so. You can get a pair of Moser axles for less than 300 bucks.
