What's your goal in tying the tanks together in a manner that's different from the current arrangement? My 72 GMC has OEM sending units for the dual aftermarket tanks (Travel Tanks) with a toggle switch to select the sending unit for either aux tank or the factory tank (fwiw pic here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...48&postcount=3). A floor mounted selector allows you to manually select gas flow from your tank of choice.
