Engine management is the toughest part on a project like this.
Fuel injection, reluctor wheel, ignition control, etc.
You could use a blow-through carb and distributor, but the reason the turbo world has opened up so much the last ten years is electronics. Precise fueling, ignition, and engine control has made it real easy to make big power.
I know the Holley EFI could be set up to do everything, from fuel injection to coil-on-plug ignition. I've imagined doing a project like this for a while, I think it'd be very unique and cool.
