GMC 4x4 number 100 off the assembly line
I picked up this 1967 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 about a month ago. It is a running and driving truck. Has usually it needs some attention to make it a safe driver and reliable. Everything on the truck is original including the badly dented front drivers fender. The original motor would have been a V6 305 I think. Now there is a 327 V8.
After looking at the vin plate and running it through the vin decoder for GMC it looks like I have number 100 off the assembly line the first year they made these.
I am not sure which way I will go with this truck but it is screaming at me to do a full restoration. It is just to cool to have such an original truck that only needs a few things to get it back to original equipment. It is kind of guess work since many of the 67 GMC did not have a SPID in glove box.
Here are the things I think I would need to get it back to original equipment:
-used front fender
-V6 motor
-different mirrors which I have I think
-6 lug steel rims / not sure if they had split rims or not
-not sure if the selecto hubs are original or not
