Can anyone offer an explanation why the diff cover on my 71 GMC has so much surface rust on it ? It’s the original cover I believe, funny thing is the truck has lived its entire life in Eastern Oregon where we have little rust issues. The rest of the vehicle has almost no rust except underneath the battery tray, pretty typical...any ideas ?...
