Frankly I dont know for sure myself. I do know there are plenty of people refering to them as a big block motor. Its just a few pounds short of 800 yes 800 LBS. It does have a large bore 4.25. I also see posts gonig back almost 10 years. Ive also read that big block,small block refers to v8s only, anthing 400ci and over but then you have 396 and the small block 400. I understand these are not gmc motors. I do know this I am one of those people that dont know there stuff and never had much time for those who know it all.
