The cigarette lighter tab on the face of the panel is always hot and UNFUSED. The panel lights and glovebox taps are fused.

For the cigar lighter wire, it's best to put an inline fuse holder in the wire end that is nearest the fuse box. 25A or less for the fuse (if you are just using it as a power socket and not as a lighter you can probably fuse less than 25 amps).
