They do exist, or at least they did. I worked in a tire shop in the late 70s, early 80s and we would see em occasionally. There were more large (35, 36.5, not large by toady's standard) off road tires for 15 inch wheels back then so that was the reason most 3/4 ton guys that I knew of wanted em. They didn't care about the load rating necessarily.
I upgraded to 3/4 ton axles on my blazer and had money invested into my tires so I ran em for a year or so as well.
Now days, I would go for the full cover adaptors instead of 15" wheels if that was the look you were going for.
