Just in case anyone finds this thread while researching it- I had someone install the cover and foam from OER- looks and feels great. Upholster guy said the cover fit real good and, for comparison, between the OER foam and American Cushion foam as measured above, the OER foam is 8 1/2 at that point (so the American Cushion foam is an inch higher).
