It is very possible that you didn't get the coil spring in the pocket right. I did this when I installed my HD coil springs in my truck recently. There was 1/4 difference in mine when measured. I did go back and put them in the right way. It was my first time and I didn't even notice the spring pocket until I was doing the passenger side, started on the driver.
