New from Nebraska!
Hey everyone, just picked up my first swb C10. It is a 1960 apache, I6 with a 4 speed. I'm new to the old school truck scene, definitely not new to cars though. Been building and racing 4th gen fbody's for a while. Very familiar with LSx engines and going fast. It's time for a change and i've always loved the 60's 70's c10 trucks ever since my uncle picked up a '71 swb.
My plans are to lower it, disc brakes (maybe power brakes), put new wood in the bed. Ideally i'd like to put a 6.0 with a 4L80E in it but I need to do some more research and ask questions to get to that point, which is why I am here! ![]() ![]() Here's a pick of the Camaro I used to own and race for 6 years, 2001 SOM Z28 which is where the screen name comes from. ![]() |

Re: New from Nebraska!
Man, LEAVE THAT PATINA! That's a great looking truck. I'd replace the wood in the bed, toss a nice set of aluminum wheels on and clean up the motor.
Welcome to the site. Tony |

Re: New from Nebraska!
Thanks! I agree, the patina this truck has is great. I don't plan on doing anything to the paint/body.
