Shifter for 700R4
Are there any aftermarket floor shifters that will work with a 700r4? I have looked a little here and there and have not seen much. I figured one of the AM cable style shifter might work. What are you guys using other than the column?
Thanks |

![]() www.lokar.com can buy them at Summit. Other than that, any of the cable ones are fun to set up. B+M makes a decent shifter for cheap. Art-Carr is the best for cable type, but expect to pay for it. http://www.artcarr.com/storm.cfm?fun...ProductID=7063 ![]() Last edited by FormerMember; 11-05-2005 at 10:36 AM. |

They have nice shifter boots with billet housings and LED lit gear indicators, too.

Re: Shifter for 700R4
Well, the shifter is about 160-180 depending on where you get it. The boot and indicator is about 130. it has back up light switched and neutral safety built in.
I have one for a Th400 set up I am waffling over. I have an auto tilt column, too. You can also change the shifter knobs out: ![]() I drilled out his eyes and installed LED's that light when the dash lights are on... |

Re: Shifter for 700R4
I have the Lokar shifter in my Jeep with a 700R4 and it is the way to go. Comes with a netural safty switch. The LED indicater is not the best. I have one for the dash and it doent light up bright enough. In the Jeep with the top off you cant see anything. Ron Frances makes light up indicator but it looks a lith hoky to me. Good luck

Re: Shifter for 700R4
I changed the LED's in mine... not too hard to do.
Also, the indicator down on the floor doesn't have to compete with the sunlight. |
