Question on 5 & 6 lug rears
Does anybody know if you can swap out a 6lug 12bolt rear axle w a 5lug 10bolt axle. the 6lug is a 69, what years are inter changeable if any.would it have to be a 71 or 72 ??SOME BODY AT A JUNK YARD SAID ITS DOABLE I THOUGHT IF IT IS YOU GUYS WOULD KNOW FOR SURE.

I swapped a 71-72 rear into my 69. Both from trailing arm trucks. In the case of trailing arms I believe the compatible year range is 63-72.
