14 bolt shock mounting
So I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find what I need. I've swapped out the HO52 for a 14 FF and it's now time to figure out the shock mounts. I've done 4" all spring lift and the kit came with the shocks. With no weight on the rear, the shocks go to about the middle of the axle tube which seems a little short to me. So my questions up to this point are:
1- how much down-travel should I have 2- is it ok to have the shock mounts angled up from the centerline, or should they hang below the axle as in the original configuration? Hopefully what I'm asking makes sense. I'll try to snap some pictures in a little bit. |

Re: 14 bolt shock mounting
Here is how the shock hangs fully extended. Seems too short to me.

Re: 14 bolt shock mounting
Ok, I just realized that I'm dumb. Don't make fun of me too bad here, but I decided to check the shocks that were still in the box. Now I know, the front shocks are shorter than the rear. The other shocks give me ample down travel and actually look like they will fit
