Trying to decide on how much to drop.
I've never had or lowered a truck before and this is also my first short bed. I want to lower the truck a little and have a little bit of a rake to it. I don't want to bag it or anything crazy. I have a set of 15x7 slotted mags for it and picking up some 15x9s for the rear this weekend. I was thinking of using a 255/60/15 up front and 275/60/15 in the rear. The first pic is how it sits now bone stock. The second pic is of a board member's truck kinda how I would like mine to sit. I'm just not sure if a 2/4 drop would be enough or would I have to do something else?

Re: Trying to decide on how much to drop.
My guess is your looking about 2/3 drop if your want a little rake. Typically if your looking for level your 2-3" lower in the rear then the front. Most popular static drop here is the 4/6 ece kit. You can use the search and I'm pretty sure there is a whole thread on that kit. Hope this helps

Re: Trying to decide on how much to drop.
Make sure to measure your truck's height now. Then factor in that your springs are 40+ years old. Then figure that the new springs will probably sit higher than what's on there now. In other words, it might sit at what a 2/4 drop looks like, and when you put 2/4 springs on, it looks more like a 1/2 drop.
