Bed mounted fuel tank
Looking for some advice on a fuel filler set up. Put the side mount tank in the frame, installed fuel filler neck in the driver rear corner of the bed. Looking for advice as to how to run the filler hose and what material? Just use rubber fuel line or maybe someone has done some fab with metal tube. Thanks

Re: Bed mounted fuel tank
Believe it or not , it’s from a 2000 Ford Ranger. I.m afraid the first time I put gas in it will puke!🤣. But the basic shape worked out really well.

Re: Bed mounted fuel tank
I literally just did this last week. Bought a Hagan fuel door kit for $135. Easy and well made. I ordered some 2” fuel hose to go from neck to Boyd tank. I plan on running my vent tube to the top of the filler neck with hard line for most of it. I’m not quite finished with it but the pics kinda give you an idea.

Re: Bed mounted fuel tank
That looks great, I would have done that with mine but the 68 and up trucks have the marker lights and just didn't quite seem to look quite right to me, just looked a little crowded on the fender with both. Yours I believe will be a little easier to fill than mine.
I like the stand you have under the rear tire. It looks curved to fit the tire, I take it you made it. It looks like it puts the truck at the right height to work underneath. |

Re: Bed mounted fuel tank
Here is what I did. I welded a piece of 2" exhaust with a 2" rubber fuel hose to connect it to the tank. You want to make sure the filler tube is higher than the tank so you don't loose gas on corners.
