Rockauto Suspension: Moog or Mevotech?

Hi all, for stock replacement suspension parts like bushings, ballpoints, etc, are you guys still generally recommending Moog?

I’ve typically bought Moog but also had great luck with Mevotech.

What Rockauto brands are you guys using for your stock suspension related parts these days?

I continue to buy Moog; just rebuilt my entire steering system with their stuff.

Still outstanding, lifetime quality parts.

I prefer and have used only Moog parts on my steering and suspension in the past. January of 2024, I had to replace a tire because of unusual wearing. I took the truck in after tire replacement to have an alignment done. They couldn't do the alignment at the time because of worn out idler arm and inner and outer tie rods. Went to summit's webpage to order new parts. Parts total was like $186, that wasn't in the budget at the time, so I bought the house brand at O'reilies auto parts. They have held up just fine for over a year of daily use driving. I still would have preferred Moog parts though.

The one thing I have run into lately - mostly with Summit - is non-Moog parts in Moog boxes.

This appears to be due to people ordering cheap stuff AND Moog, putting the cheap stuff in the Moog boxes, and returning them. Summit doesn't bother to inspect before shipping it right back out.

Went through Hell on this with them, so just something to watch out for...

Moog. And if you get parts that aren't Moog, send them back.

I redid my front end completely and used Moog Parts. It took me about 6 months to get everything as I'd order the different parts from Amazon as I had the overtime money to pay for them. Every box said made in the USA and when the front end was back together no problem with the initial alignment or issues and have put about 2000 miles on the truck since the install.

Beware, some Moog parts are NOT made in the US of A. Always check before buying.

I prefer Moog. I redid the front end of my 67 C20 and did a disc conversion as well. All Moog new old stock parts that were made in the USA. Perfect fit.

I used mevotech upper ball joints on my 98 K2500 with a 6” knuckle lift. The lift is notorious for killing upper ball joints on the those trucks. I get them because they supposedly have a beefier design over the others. Close to a A year and 10,000 miles and I have no complaints at all. I also have mevotech high operating angle front cv shafts in the same truck to deal with the tighter angles the CVs run with the lift. Again no issues at all. Moog is good too. I’ve used them a ton in the past.

Moog today is not the Moog of yesterday.

Always check country of manufacture first, don't just buy what used to be a good "name".

I believe the Problem Solver line is still made here, not sure about the rest.

I totally rebuilt the front end on my 67 when I converted it to disc brakes. Used the Moog Problem Solver parts. The only issue I had was the boots on the two outer tie rods split in less than a year. Other than that, it's been going on four years and about 4000 miles.
