column to floor shift (pics?)
Im planning to convert my 3 on the tree to a floor shift. Anyone have pics of the hole cut in the floor or dimensions on hole size? Never done the swap b4. It'll be a couple of months b4 I can get around to it...Thx, J

Hey TX cowboy, you will have a hard time using someone else's mesurements.There are some differences in tranny position,though they will be minor.The other differences will be in floor shifters.They may mount a little different or be closer further from the floor or other variables that make a difference.The best way I have found to do this is to mount the shifter without the shifter arm and then put it thru the gears marking the throw or distance the shifter lever moves in each gear.By doing so you can cut the smallest workable hole in your floorboard.Each brand of shifter will come with installation procedures that should be followed.It may also come with a template for the hole in the floor.

the hole in mine is about the size of a 2x4 when mine is in 2nd it sits 2nd it sits right in front of the key my convertion kit was bought at advance auto it is maded my mr gasket it really feels like a short shifter too
