Newbe question
Brand new to the site and hoping for some help. I just bought a 70 C10 that has been converted to 4 wheel drive. I found the number on the frame and was wondering if there is a way I can identify what vehicle it came from. Thanks.

Re: Newbe question
If you post the number you found some one may be able to give you a clue what year your frame is and vehicle it came from.

Re: Newbe question
Welcome to the forum, Copperhead.
0 is 1970 F is flint assy. plant 111582 is the build sequence number. They started at 100001 so your frame was number 11,582 off the line. Does 0F111582 match the last 8 digits of your VIN number?

Re: Newbe question
Thanks you guys. I'm really looking forward to exploring the forum. And finding out more about what I bought. Initially what I want to do is lower the lift to around 2 inches and go smaller on the tire size. In the end I'm wanting a daily driver. I love these trucks as it was what I took my first driver's test in back in 1977. I'll try to get some pics posted soon. Thanks again.
