hot to deternine quick ratio or no -
I got a PS box from the junkyard out of an '80 1/2 ton, and used the core to get a new box (identical to the old one). But how can I tell if it's a quick ratio box or not? I believe that year they made both styles, but I'm not sure.

Can't you put a mark on one of the tooths and rotate it til it stops? Just count the turns I believe and it should give you an estimate. Someone else chime in---

If it is the quick ratio gear it should be 3 1/2 turns lock to lock. WES
