AC alternative???
I know one is the 260....2 windows down 60mph gettin' on down the road
 I also found this awhile ago when I was researching how to keep me cool in that cab and not have to spend $1200....BEFORE I restored the truck...now I think I'll get a vintage air system BUT....Check this out....it's the old fashion Box-o-ice AC unit for $300.... http://www.swampy.net/wb.html Kinda neat....anyone have/ tried one of these??? It could serve as a AC in the summer and a console in the winter!!!!LOL

its a very inovative idea.
i just wonder how long it would last off of 7 pounds at 2 bucks a bag. not sure how long it would take to freeze the dang thing up(I'm in FL) but i bet dry ice could really blast out some cool air.

I wonder how well it would cool in our 100 degree and high humidity summer days here in Texas.

It kind of reminds me of the cool suit systems my friend's dad has in his race car. It doesn't have the vents on the side like that one but it has hoses that run to his suit and helmet with a fan blowing the cold air through. For ice, he fills up old milk or juice cartons, the puts the cubes of ice in it.

What can you say, besides: "COOOOOLLLLL"
(Sorry - somebody had to do it) My uncle has a 1941 Packard for real woodie wagon with an old style automotive swamp cooler that hangs in the passenger front window. Looks like an old electrolux vacuum cleaner hanging on the window, outside the car. I'll see if I can find a picture, somewhere. Puts out amazingly cold air at about 45 MPH & over. At a stop light you get absolutely nothing, though. Gotta be moving pretty good for the air flow to push through it, & be chilled by evaporation.
