Maybe for a overload or aux. spring setup. The holes there are not where you need them to be to line up, they are too far outboard. Jim

Just a guess. Is it for the stock exhaust hanger. I can't remember what it looks like.

I will check the frame I just purchased in the morning. It looks to have all of the original brackets on it.

Beginning to think might have something to do with rear mounted aux tank.thx for looking.
