Re: WTB---67-68 v8 throttle linkage
Are you referring to carb linkage or the inside the cab "go" pedal that mounts to the floor. That part I have from a '70, think they are all the same parts from '67 thru '70 when GM changed to a throttle cable system. LMK and I can post pics of it if interested.

Re: WTB---67-68 v8 throttle linkage
No, I need the rod that connects the floor pedal linkage to the carb. The linkage I need is aprox. 1' long (or less)
This linkage was used on the years that used the floor mounted pedal----I believe only 67-68. (maybe 69 as well??)

Re: WTB---67-68 v8 throttle linkage
Sorry can't help with that piece. No engine or trans in this parts truck when I got it. It is a '70 model and it also has the floor mounted pedal. GM changed to the suspended / cable style in '71 I believe.

Re: WTB---67-68 v8 throttle linkage
good news on it being 71 when they switched-----increases the odds of finding one.

Re: WTB---67-68 v8 throttle linkage
16N67--
Is this the v8 linkage or the I6 linkage? Im asking because the one I currently have is shorter and has almost a 90 deg. bend in the end that attaches to the pedal linkage. Im not sure if my linkage is factory correct or not is the reason Im wondering. I know it works, but the alum is worn and sloppy. Ive looked in the assy manual and haven't found a good representation of the carb. linkage. I guess that could be another question for early v8 owners "what does your carb. linkage look like"??? In the meantime, what would be your price with shipping to 65613?

Re: WTB---67-68 v8 throttle linkage
My truck was originally a 283, but had no motor when i bought it. The linkage was hanging from the firewall, that is all I know.
The right end is threaded and adjusts about 5/8" shorter and 1 1/4" longer. The left end has a 90 bend. If it is the correct one I will send it to you free. |

Re: WTB---67-68 v8 throttle linkage
While I was in the shop today, I looked thru the assy manual again-----leafed thru about 10 pages from where it was already open to---and there it was!!! You are absolutely correct, what you have is the v8 linkage!! lol
I looked closely at my original linkage and Ill bet anything its homemade or from some other application. Ill add that to the long list on my truck where things weren't as they first seemed. So, the answer is yes I would like to have your linkage!! Ill send you a Message here shortly,,

Re: WTB---67-68 v8 throttle linkage
Don't want to hijack your thread but would this be the same linkage for a '68 396?
