Headliner and Trim Issues
Recently I purchased a headliner and chrome trim for my truck from LMC. The headliner was a bit to big so we shaved the cardboard down 1/4". Once we stuck the headliner up, we tried to put the chrome trim up around the headliner. The trim didn't fit in the holes that were in the ceiling. Any body else have this issue? How'd you resolve the problem?

Re: Headliner and Trim Issues
You'll probably have to drill new holes. Darn reproduction parts! How was the quality of the headliner. I need one also

Re: Headliner and Trim Issues
Did your cab have headliner before? I don't see any elongated holes around the headliner.

Re: Headliner and Trim Issues
The holes are underneath the tape.

Re: Headliner and Trim Issues
Do they not line up? Or are the holes too big/small ?

Re: Headliner and Trim Issues
They line up but they for some reason do not want to pop in. I think what we are going to do is put a bead of caulk on the back of the strips and stick them up there with some longer screws. The headliner might also be to thick.

Re: Headliner and Trim Issues
I've used several sets of aftermarket trim with no issues, however I've only used oem headliners with it. That could very well be your problem.

Re: Headliner and Trim Issues
We put silicone sealant on all the tabs and stuck it up in there. Some of them broke off while others popped in, needless to say the silicone will help them stick up there.
