I thought I was done after the GMC was finished but it seems like I just have to have a rig to wrench on. I was only able to hold out for a year!

I would say it depends on what the affliction is... Is it just owning and driving one or more? Or is it buying more? Or buying projects so you have something to work on?

For me, I enjoy owning and driving the one I have. I have spent a lot of time improving it, but I started with a fairly decent example. I don't have the urge to go buy another one, or spend a lot of time working on it. I work on other peoples cars for a living, so I get sort of burned out on that. So I guess working as a professional automotive tech is a cure for me wanting to work on more trucks. But that's just me. I do enjoy owning one and enjoy talking about them and looking at them. I don't think anybody can be cured of that.. I don't think a cure is necessary though. There's nothing wrong with having hobbies!

Nice find on truck number 2! One problem with these trucks is there are all the configurations and then a few different styling changes and then there are colors and base vs loaded. I find it easiest to buy one of each than decide on only one

I found the formula for at least bringing it under control. Divorce. But it takes more. First you have to be about 50 years old ready to get out of the business, sell off properties, and move to the mountain home you bought in the last year. Then you have to find out your wife has debt greater than the balance on existing home, refinance into mortgage (till it sells), wife leaves months later, and the bottom drops out of the economy. It takes a while to work, because the summer she left I bought a '71 C/30 tow truck I always wanted and a '71 SWB K/10 I always wanted. Bought a '69 C/20 Stepside for parts, too. Full-time truck play now that I'm single!! Recession gets worse, money gets tight, forfeit that mountain home, and start selling trucks off. It's a long drawn out process I wouldn't recommend trying. I'm down to two, which I'm pretty good with. But I still get the cravings. So it's not really a cure. Just a way to better manage the affliction, if you consider less trucks as being better

Right now I torn between selling mine and making that lifelong commitment??? Well gunna run over to the guy with the temp issue and see if I can be of service.

Death seems to stop it. Extremely poor health slows it down. Not sure those would be considered as a cure

Controlable? Yes. Curable? No

Had my first as a teenager and managed to stay in the just lusting for another until my wife got involved three years ago. Now, the fever is burning as hot as it ever was.

no cure! I grew up with my fathers 69 gmc, and my grandfathers 69 c10, and bought my 67 at 16 years old, and have had many other vehicles and classic cars over the years, but never been without at least one or 7, 67-72 gm trucks at any given time, and i never get tired of them, or stop looking for the next candidate or parts for them...they get into your blood.

That's it right there. They get into your blood. I can not imagine living life without at least one 67-72. I sincerely mean that. It's been since '82 (IIRC) that I have owned at least two. I had a few before that, beginning in '73, but there were times I went astray a year or two

. I have people offering to buy and I always say "This one's my keeper". But what I'm really thinking is if I sold and didn't have one anymore I'd expect to die within a week!

I agree with all of the above! I was looking for a square body when I ran across this K10 and just couldn't pass it up. The style and lines and general badassery of these trucks can't be topped.
