454/th400 swap

Will a 454 backed by a th400 fit into a 73-87 that originally came with a small block without any major complications? do I have to use one that originally came with a big block and that trans?

it should just drop in. you will need the 454 motor mounts, an the radiator for the big block....dont know about the tranny mount...but it shouldnt be that hard to do...

I did a BBC swap and even the motor mounts are the same. Just move the trans. crossmember to it's new location and there may be holes in the frame or drill them like I did.

motor mount,tranny mount,cross member and radiator, I think I could make this work on a construction workers budget =)
