Need Bracket for 700r4, action+ and Q-jet
I am working on putting a new cam and intake on my 350 and went from a stock aluminum intake to a Weiand Action Plus and my stock linkage doesn't look like its going to work out, I need something that will work for my 700r4 TV Cable and throttle cable. I want to say edelbrock makes bracket that bolts to the carb base plate, I just don't know which one I need. I used to have one from a holley but sold it with the carb. I have a stock Q-Jet by the way.

I know that will take care of it, but those things are expensive! Seems like I spent 15 bucks on the bracket I bought for my holley and it worked perfect. 700r4 carries a universal bracket for Small Blocks, maybe i'll just order it, its 44 bucks but comes with a new cable which I don't need since I just replaced mine.

You can get the cheap, chrome, adjustable brackets at AutoZone or some place like that for 15 or 20 bucks best I can recall. You might have to do a little fabrication.I had to add a plate between the two parts that slide apart for adjustment to give me enough adjustment to make mine work right. Also had to make an extension for the the throttle linkage to keep the tv cable level and ended using a carb spacer to get enough room for everything to work.
You really should buy a pressure guage with extension hose to adjust your tv cable properly, also. Got that at NAPA for about 60 bucks. All in all you're probably better off buying the tv made easy kit. If you don't get this set up right you can screw up your trans in a hurry. Good Luck Tom
