Wheel offset
Is anybody running 17x8 rims on their 6 lug truck? Im looking at a set of 17x8 rims, but they have a +14MM Offset. Need to know the right offset for this size of rim for my truck.

you should be looking at about 4 1/2inch offset. the only thing i know about MM's is that they're in the candy isle

Yep, looking at my crusty trusty handy dandy conversion chart here. 14mm=.55118 or right close to almost 9/16".
This offset stuff confuses me too. An 8" wheel would actually be around 9" outside width right? The 8" is measured inside the lip? ![]() The offset is measured to the very outside edge? ![]() ![]()

That offset sounds extreme, regardless of which way it goes. What were they on before, assuming they're used wheels?
