big block into a 62
has anyone tried this using the torsion bar suspension? if so please let me know how it worked out and what you had to do. thanks

It can be done. GMC's came with the big 305 V6's in them.
A kid I went to high school with has a 1960 swb fleetside small window "custom" Apache with all the chrome trim. He dropped in a 396 big block that he had bored over to a 409 backed by a built Th400 trans. Boy that truck could scoot down the road. The last time I seen the truck was about 7 years ago, and I ran into him last summer, he said he has only filled the tank up twice since. If I remember right, his brother said it ran in the low 11's.
