torque convertor interchange

had to swap a 350 tranny today and the 350 I put in was missing torque convertor. I have 3-4 th400 torque convertors laying around are they the same?

They are a little bigger, but they should work.
I read about this on a web site, and I did it myself from the advice of that sight's author, but the truck has yet to see any street time.

You might want to count your splines to make sure before you put it in.
