Tach mounting locations
i just got a tach for my truck but im wondering where would be a good mounting spot for it.im not sure if i should mount it on the steering column or on the dashpad somewhere.i dont want to mount it at the bottom of the dash-had a truck once with a gauge mounted down there and it was a pita to see at night.

I prefer them IN the dash, but if that isn't possible..then I say on the column.

As long as its not the huge monster tach, I'll say dashpad. I much rather have it in the dash tho, looking factory. Don't really like them mounted to the columns.

I like the look of them over the column but I drives me nuts when it moves all over when changing gears. I mounted mine to the dash over the column so it looks like its mounted to the column & it never moves...corn

Im all for them being on the dash so you can keep eyes on the road/track and just glance at the tach.
