hey hills i have same truck and blew my rearend out broke off a piece of carrier and it went thru everything. these trucks pose a great problem with this know of quite a few people who have same prob. now i replaced mine with a fourteen bolt rear that i got for 600$ worth its weight in gold. there is a place in big springs texas that has one but i dont know the price. now most places i looked (believe me i looked for over three months daily till i found mine) want anywhere from 850 to 1300 dollars for one depending on new or rebuilt. you can get it rebuilt though a mechanic will charge anywhere from 1100 to 1700 but if you find someone who will put the gears in if your lucky you can find someone to do it for 200 or possibly less but you have to buy the gears yourself. i found a package on ebay which has this setup for 695$ which includes shipping and it comes with gears seals bearings and a posi unit made by eaton pretty good stuff. now my advice though which i would seriously consider is buying a whole rearend because usually when these 10 bolts break crap gets under the pinion shaft and will crack your housing. now you may look at it or get it checked and they tell you its fine but sometimes these things dont leak until you start driving and everything heats up then you lose all of your fluid and then there you are but thats just my 2 sense anyway good luck to cause i know its a pain
