Full bedside replacements?
I ran a full assessment on the Blazer... I really want to do a full bedside replacement on both sides if possible.
Doors are good, front clip is good, rockers and some floor panels will need replacement, but it's the bedsides I am NOT happy with. The PO did shoddy work, and it is really starting to show. They replaced the wheel well, the front and rear parts in seperate pieces and there is quite a bit of filler. They also bulge out and don't align well into the door jams. So, are there full bedsides available? What vendor do you recommend for panels, floor panels, etc? I would sure like it if someone made parts from OEM tooling- even if I have to pay more. Also of course the heavier the gauge the better. OH, I'M keeping it now! Case is closed.

Or, does someone have a tub they would cut the full bedsides from? Door jam to rear tailight? Minimum rust and small dents are fine.

GMC Paul's has exactly what I am looking for, and in a 19 ga panel no less-
http://www.gmcpauls.com/pictures/67-...ch%20Patch.jpg AWESOME! They even have bed repair panels as well. Cool! My project is officially going to kick off soon.

haha, if this were not the internet, I would say you just had a full conversation with yourself
I am actually glad you posted that, because I could use the same thing, for the drive side...I can't see from the picture, but does it include brake light housing or at least the area for it? thanks for the post, it is most useful Lenny

The panel that is linked is an extended wheel arch panel. It is the exterior skin only. Complete Blazer brdside assemblies are not being reproduced. What you will have to do if you are looking to completely replace the bedsides is to purchase short bed fleetside bedside assemblies. The work great for this aplication, but the front must be cut down to fit the blazer. You must also save all of the inner parts that are exclusive to the Blazer.
We have them in the 67-72 sheetmetal section of our site. Here is a link: http://www.classicheartbeat.com/sheetmetal2.htm WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
