Very nice 18,000 mile truck, 2wd, longbed, bb
This truck is about an hour from me. If anyone decides that they are serioius let me know. I may be able to go look at it. From the pictures it looks pretty nice. I am sure they want a mint for this.

Looks too good to be true, I have to wonder about the painted wheels though.

"it has never seen snow or cold,"
![]() "it even has the original tires, and they show excellently no weather checking in sidewalls" ![]() Makes me a bit suspicious .

Hard to believe someone would try to roll back the odometer as easy as they are to swap out to a lower mileage showing one. Some people might though. As Bill pointed out, tires most likely to have
some cracking due to dry rot if not weather checked if that old.

Some 18,000mile trucks have 118,000,218,000,and even 318,000miles on them.I haven`t even checked the link yet.I`m speaking in general.I`ve seen a 38,000 original mile truck for sale with, rebuilt motor, new upholstery in the description and I think,"why did it need all that?

Is it just me or does anyone see anything odd with the grill insert??? 69's are supposed to have an egg-crate style insert similar to a 72 but the bars are much closer together and smaller. That grill looks like it has vertical slats only???? A 70 grill has only horizontal slats.... anyone else notice this????

69 cst
Did cst in 69 have woodgrain trim? Add says "has original paint" does not claim that parts of truck have not been repainted. I would say at least bed was repainted and fancy carpet kit and spare tires added. Also looks like new cab carpet and added door carpet inserts. From 20 ft+ pics it looks wonderful and maybe up close too. I just wouldn't expect body to be untouched since 69. Motor pics look believeable for 18K motor (even has smog pump, I wonder when those came out in CA).
I also believe those bumper guards were only on 67 and 68's. I like it. Loose the canopy, spotlights, smog pump, spare tires and add some ralleys, I would be set!! Is ther an easy way to pull spot ights and do a clean watertight blockoff on windshield pillar?

69's and 70's did come with bumperettes.
The wheels just don't make any sense, they have trim rings and hubcaps and I don't think they would have come painted body colour. I would expect full wheel covers on a CST. I think the cap is pretty cool, but I don't know if I would keep it on if it were mine. |

The dash panel doesn't look right to me, looks like a 67-68. Wipers and light switch on the same side. Carpet on the bottom of the doors and kick panels. I wonder on the woodgrain lower trim and tailgate band too.

i can belive the tires are that old. my dad has a 33 ford 3 window that has the original tires on it. the car only has 4,000 miles. also he has boughten like 20 original tires from the 30s-40s for his cars that are pretty nice. there are a little cracking but nothing major at all. that truck looks really nice!

Hey Matt,about those 30`s tires.Before WW2 tires were of virgin gum-rubber.They don`t check.It was`nt until"additives"were used to"improve"tires that dry rot became an issue.I have original"Gum-Dipped"Firestones on my`40 Harley WLD.

I`m thinking the owner(probably older feller)painted the rims, added trim on tailgate, and added carpet pcs.Full wheel covers is an itemized option seperate from CST or Cheyenne.Manual Throttle is an option, which this truck has.Maybe the guy loved(cherrished)his truck as most of us do and added a few personalized touches like many of us have.I just don`t know why we choose to ridicule this truck instead of honor it here on the site that is based on the appreciation of 67-72 GM trucks.
