Wow. That looks great. I am starting to really like the look of car ralley rims on our trucks. What color will the truck be when finished?

Thanks,
The truck is going to be painted Black W/Black interior. The grey accents are showing up in the pictures of the frame as very light. The grey is a little darker when you see it in person. After the front tires are on I can't wait to set the Big block on her. I have been detailing the 402 it seems like forever, I think I have 30 hours spent on the paint process now and its just about finished. I used the POR 15 Paint on the engine. It is a slow process with the Por but it I have to say it sure has a bright shine to it. I was unsuccessful getting the por to flow out on the oil pan and the timing cover so I had to spray them. I found the trick with it is keeping the paint (in the can) very warm when brushing it on the cast parts. I put the can of paint in hot water before applying it and it seemed to flow out very well. I will be sure to get a few pictures of it when I unwrap it for the installation. Curt

EXTRA NICE. You know they didn't look this good off asembly line.
I am curious about finish on ball joints and cross-arm shafts. I can't tell if you coated or painted those? If so with what, they look new and shiney? Is frame POR'ed, painted, or powdercoated? Keep progress pictures coming. thanks for sharing.

[QUOTE=cheyenne10]EXTRA NICE. You know they didn't look this good off asembly line.
I am curious about finish on ball joints and cross-arm shafts. I can't tell if you coated or painted those? If so with what, they look new and shiney? Is frame POR'ed, painted, or powdercoated? The ball joints and control arm shafts were de greased and stripped out of the box, I etch primed and painted them with cast grey which is another por 15 product. The frame itself and all the components have been powdercoated. The only thing that wasn't powder coated was the ball joints and control arms brake calipers etc. I have used polyurathane base paints wherever possible on the small items that never made it to powdercoat, Mainly like the small parts in the brake assembly. I'll enclose a picture. I have had access to a glass beading cabinet for thisso it has been great. Another product I have been very please with is Por 15's high temp paint for the exhaust manifolds. I bought a small can of it and I was able to put 3 coats on the manifolds as well as paint the drums, disks, and front calipers. Here is a pic of the drums Thank you all for the feedback I had no idea it would bring so many replies.

were the ACDelco Shocks something you got at a local dealership or are the NOS stuff that you found on E-Bay or something. i like them because they are black - not blue or red or white (nothing against our nations Flag or anything) but those colors don't always look good against a black frame
nice job by the way. what color is the motor? - got pictures of it?
