Still need clutch rod - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I'm still looking for a clutch rod for my sons truck. Its the rod from the pedal to the Z bar and has a bend to it. His wont last much longer, Anybody have one ????

Can you send me or post a picture of what you need, I may have it. I bought all ( I think ) of the linkage to do the switch over from Auto to Stick, but right now I am not going to do it.

I'll see if I can get a pic tonight. Its not straight looking like the one Tanker350 posted in the E-Bay add. It comes out of the cab straight and round then makes a bend to the left (driver side) and goes to flate bar and links to the Z Bar

Thanks, I'm askin g the E-Bay guy about the lenght because it says it fits "Chevy Series 20 through 30 Double Duty truck " It doesnt look like whats in theer now

The one you are looking for is a standard rod for the manual trans trucks. Any 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck will have the right one. In a pinch, you could take the one you have and hit the worn area with a welder to fill it in, then grind it back round. It will hold for a while til you can find a replacement. I just gave away a decent one. I'll look if I have another.
