What did you get done this weekend?
Ken is out of town until Monday, so we will have to start without him.
What did you get done this weekend? I got my gas cap "ring" from the machine shop and got the bed floor cut to fit it. Now I need to weld it in, then get the bed to the bodyman to get stripped and worked on.

After two weeks of reading about headrs I've ordered a 2-1/4" dual exhaust for factory manifolds. Rebuilt one of the hyd. rams on the tracktor and hired a roofer.

I just finished up building my Wideband O2 meter. It controls a wideband O2 sensor and will assist me in getting the MegaSquirt fuel injection on my 84 perfectly dialed in. I've been driving that truck for a couple months with the EFI, so far so good!
Other than that, the power was off for 1/2 the day this morning. I realize how much I depend on electricity...

Went to an auction and bought a 79 Chevy Cheyenne 1/2 ton, 6 cylinder, air, power steering & brakes, ralleys for $225.00. It is fairly straight & rust free for a farm truck. Very little rust, hood gashed in front, and wasn't bent until the action. It doesn't run but my uncle and I are thinking its because ace mechanic rebuilt the carb wrong. Runs when you pour gas in the carb. I was going to use it as a body for my 78 K-10, but I don't know now as it is pretty clean.

I spent Friday getting my father's old '37 Chevy Coupe back on the road. He was sick for a while before he died, so the inspection expired 2 or 3 years ago. When I got to the place that does my inspections, they had used their last sticker 15 minutes before I got there. I took the day off to get it done, so that was pretty disappointing. I just drove it home and gave it the first washing it has had in about 5 years. It is depressing to see how far the car deteriorated while sitting in the driveway not being driven.
Saturday I spent the whole day cleaning out my father's garage. This is the fourth time I have spent a full day in there, and I am probably only about 10% of the way through it. It is a two car garage, and it is so full that most people who go in there do not realize that there is a car in there (1973 BMW 2002 that he bought in 1974). One day, after I finish in there, I get to do the attic and a 10X12 storage shed. Sunday was spent pulling the transmission in my truck. I have been chasing leaks around it the whole time I have had it. I'm just going to have the whole thing rebuilt so that I can quit messing with it. The rest of the day was spent visiting some friends who just had their first baby. She is 6 months old, and we had not seen her yet. My hands smelled like transmission fluid, even after showereing, and the baby was fascinated with my hands. I guess she liked the smell. Weird... Slonaker |

well I went to a new jinkyard (new to me) and I found a cherry 90 K5. So pulled the entire radiator support, grille and wiring off to put on my 85. $100 and a lot of work, body mounts suck. I am going to go back and get some more. Has a cherry grey dash if anyone needs.
I dissasmbled an S&S drivetrain I had laying around. Cleaned out the garage. Took the wife and kid out, blah blah |

I need the dash, if you can get it.
I got up early Saturday, and picked up a 74 Custom Deluxe that I bought earlier in the week. The truck had a loud knock, so we decided to put in the 327 I had in the garage. Picking the truck up, we were rewarded with a relatively straight, one owner, original paint, 135K mile truck. It must not have liked the idea of giving up the original engine, because it fought the whole way. After staying up until 4 AM Saturday night (Sunday?), we got it finished Sunday afternoon. The truck turned out pretty nice. I think it has a new home already as well.

Put my reworked driveshaft in Friday night- no vibration now!
Sat.- went fishing w/ the dog out on the boat. AWESOME! Great weather, finally calibrated the compass I installed last year. No fish, though... Today- had the A/C checked out and a new fill plug installed in the rear end. The old one would not come out for me, not even with the smoke wrench and lots of PB Blaster...

How much do you want to pay for the dash cover? I am going back saturday with a buddy as he wants some stuff for his jeep. Speaking of Jeeps, I saw an idential jeep to mine, same color and all... well except it was right hand drive with american guages.. who would have known?

And a 3.73 ring and pinion set... I cannot wait to get them installed...

Changed the oil in my '79 and spent saturday night with a couple good buddies sitting around drinking and celebrating his birthday. Got my '88 ready to put the 350 SB in, just waiting for next paycheck to get a couple of more things and it should be up and running pretty soon. Layed around for the rest of the weekend.

well I plan on buying a lot off the blazer, so I think I can get the dash for $100. It looked perfect to me. I will take a real good look saturday when I go back up. I am going to pull the guage cluster anyway, so the dash cover will have to come off.
