Disc brakes on 55 front end.

I found a disc brake kit to go on a 55 front end. Would this be a good route to take or would I be better off going to a camaro clip? I've been told that the main reason to clip a truck is for the disc brakes. If I can achieve the disc brakes with out clipping is what I would like to do because I want to keep the truck somewhat stock. But I also want it to be a safe driveable truck.

The reason to clip it is twofold...lower front stance and handling, compared to a straight axle....the disc's are a plus.

That said, the disc conversion is much easier to do, and you gain better stopping power. You should upgrade the m/c as well.

Good luck.
