How tall would it be?

How tall would a 73-87 Chevy be with 6" of lift and 35's? From the ground to the top of the cab?

I got a 4" lift on my Blazer and 35"s, its still got its little winter tires on though so I could not give you a measurement right now though.
Are you thinking along the lines of a Blazer or a Truck?

theres no way your truck was 8'2" with a 6 inch and 35's. i've got 7 inches of suspension lift and 40's and mine is only 7' and some change

i'd say forget about a 7' garage door. 8' you should be ok. 8'2" is WAY off. at 6" and 30-31" tires, my truck JUST cleared my 7' garage door, with a tire any bigger than that, it would have been Rub City. i'd say probably 7'3" or so, depending on spring rates, engine trans combos, body style, and tire size.

in order for yours to be over 8' with 35's you'd have to have about 18 inches of lift

thats when you let a few psi out of the tires.. and i do think that he is overstating it by a foot...
a friends 82 with 7" and 35's was still only about a foot taller then myself and i am 6'5

the one in the photo possibly could be 6" suspension and 2-3" body which may be upper 7s (like 7'8 to 7'10) but nowhere near 8'2

Yeah, there is no way that your truck is that tall BladeX. My '79 with the 39.5" tires and about a total of around 9" or more of lift and mine is right under 8' feet.
